Wow, long time no see Polycount ! Here's a rather small project I finished recently. It's a fanart piece of the character Jiren from Dragonball Super. Used this as a good opportunity to really nail down my understanding of the PBR pipeline. Feel free to critique what I have here and please let me know what you think! model -

Hi, i updated my last fanart and corrected some things, while i started doing a mech in zbrush. Now working on texturing/details. This is just the base of the Mech. After i retopo, bake textures, rig, etc this one and make sure everything works i will start working on the the rest of the armor, weapons and the pilot… -

They don't reply because that's standard company tactics, when someone asks to use your IP for fanart you don't shoot them down immediately because of the bad press. Most of those projects fall apart anyway and aren't worth the bad press, only if you manage to get a release or are very close to one they'll C&D you. -

I bet there's a bunch of girls upset about this and they're whining. Was surprised to see a whole bunch of girls talking on Facebook about how they found DMC so awesome (all of them studying japanese so you can guess what sort of girls). Also the abundance of "sexy Dante fanart" on Deviantart explains it a bit too. -

This time I decided to go for a uncharted fanart. This ritual dagger from Nepal is a main prop in Uncharted 2. That's why I had to buy one as soon as I found it in a medieval market years ago. Final version of Manae. The name changed at the last minute but I like it like that anyway. Actual low poly in game rendering. Post in photoshop. I'll post some other shots sometimes, as well with some texture, worth mentioning she is fully rigged, with facial rigging. This is also my participation for the Blizzcon fanart… -

It seems that these companies (square, sega and more) usually shut down larger projects. They can't pursue all the fan-art made so they don't bother. Some companies even encourage you to do fanart(Blizzard). To the OP: I think you'll be fine if you credit the original artist and don't make money off it.
