I made the transition from Maya to Max about a year ago, and I found Eat3D's 3DS Max 101 DVD invaluable. Great value, and it covers just about all the Max functionality you could need, from modeling to lighting, some rigging and animation and even some of the cloth tools. I'd highly recommend it. -

Congrats man, was wondering how it went. PODs, friend moved from here to KY for $600 (minus gas from driving his car across country). And get your heavy stuff in before or after 1pm - 5pm, hottest part of the day, and the thermostat got turned up since you were out here. -

Just remember that the 16th and 17th is the weekend of carmageddon so I truly don't know how bad the traffic will be that weekend. 405 from the 10 to the 101 is closing down (which is quite a distance and quite the congestion already) so you might want to do it somewhere else or possibly even reschedule...just a heads up… -

I once gave a friend a book I had for a while, she always told me she would return it... Never did...... "Hey did you bring that book?" "OMG I totally forgot, soryyyy" Now we live like 600 miles away and she doesn't respond to my messages... awesome! -

http://www.digitalia.be/software/slimbox2 Can be aligned vertically and is slightly less sluggish than Lightbox and pre-loads everything. But yeah, some images are too large, I think having a maximum height of... 600-700 pixels would be better. The site is a bit slow, but it's a free host so meh. Liking your work. -

Mileage: 1823.2 Time to hit the road for the second to last leg of this little escapade. Still haven't decided whether I want to take the coastal 101 or inland on 5... 11+ hours of driving vs 8+ hours. "The view" isn't so much a concern as "how damn tired I am when I get to Arcata". -
