A few more 3Decembers I have more to post, but so busy with the holidays! I did 25 so far, but got a bit too busy with traveling etc. Great seeing what everyone else is doing!
Yea, sometimes my islands will take up maybe 25% of the entire UV sheet cause they are scaled down a ton. It usually scales them all up equally to take up as much UV space as possible.
Should be a thread somewhere with special discounts for polycount users. Otherwise I use godaddy bout 25-45 bucks a year. nm, here's the thread. http://boards.polycount.net/showthread.php?t=49285&highlight=web+hosting
Regarding high dpi monitors, I use DPI scaling in windows for my 25 inch 1440p monitor, and the scaling is finally usable! Actually resizes windows correctly - no problems with it and the high dpi makes thing sharp.
That looks really good and definitely worth $200 + shipping. I'm not that hardcore so I'm planning to invest on a $25 app just for learning and quick ref purposes [see preview video if interested] http://www.visiblebody.com/muscular_download_overview/
Bolt and barrel progress (also lengthened the mag neck, its 23rnds now, ill probably drop the bottom a bit for a more clean 25) and blocking in bigger things differentiating this from extant weapons will be the fun part
I've been using Tomighty. You basically work in 25 mins and rest 5. On the 4th rest time you do 30 mins of rest. The methodology it's based from is called Pomodoro. Having great results with it!
I removed the edge loops..im still optimizing this..my question is: this polygon I have circled will have a slight twist to it since one edge is approx. 25 degrees and the opposite edge is 45 degrees, is this okay?

Next gen weapons will be around 25-30k, atleast that is what they use in the first batch of FPS coming up now. Looks nice to me Now you use a lighter material, but also a lighter background lol ; )
