are you adjusting your resolution in dynamesh? I like to go anywhere between 300-600, 128 just is never enough for me. -

Don't forget to increase to size of the lightmap (Light Map Resolution), on your screenshot your value is set to 32, try 128/256. ;) -

ok retopping is done and the low poly mesh is made, and it comes in at a healthy 11790 tri's which is under my 12k goal :P -

Polycount needs to add signatures, just for that quote. SSD it is. Would 80 gig be enough, or would 128 be enough of an improvement to make it worthwhile? -

plug a spec map in and crank up your light map res on your mesh to 128 or 256. Does that look any better? -

You really need to be sure that the +12V rail carries enough amps. Logically, it should, but if it doesn't you'll get artifacts during gaming. -

Yup, 12k is huge man. Working on a 360 title we're pushing about 3k poly's on the high side for a building for our RTS. -
