Zbrush - model got darkened.
hey all, I've just transfered from mudbox to Zbrush and have run into an error. I gave a look at the tool pallete tab and tried to type a name (didn't notice the rename button right away) and my mesh suddenly darkened. I hit some keys around "s" and "c". What does this do to the mesh ? Because I can still sculpt normally… -
Maya2012 - Level Tools?
Is it possible to align the rotational pivot of an object to the orientation of an edge or a face in Maya?, whether it be through plugin or script. Level tools for Maya 2009 used to have a tool for something similar, but now we only have Bonus Tools...and the download link for the Bonus Tools has been down to some time… -

Ah, think i know what is going on here. Do you see a reset button somewhere in the keymap? These are the changed chapters. You could hunt down these, and reset them one by one. But better is to load the factory settings, you catch them all that way. This loads the factory defaults. Or at Windows rename the Blender… -

Depends. Your options are: - right-click and select re-import - delete meta file (if you have visible meta files enabled) - set "Import Animations" to false, Apply, set back to true, Apply - choose slightly different name for your animation file, delete the old and rename the new back to how it should be Just try it out… -

Just figured out solution to this and wanted to share if someone is facing similar problems. I had to simply rename my objects in zbrush before exporting to 3ds max and I also used more decimation to decrease file size. I guess 3ds max didn't know how to create those objects when subtools had similar names with lowpoly… -

FBX is your friend. forget carrying over data between the 2 software with OBJ just don't forget to rename the uvSet after importing into Maya, as they will be named UVCHANNEL_1, _2 etc... instead of map1.... although I am not sure about what you are trying to do, but FBX support multiple uvset across the 2 software.
