That's the TF: RotF version of Devastator, yep. Unlike the originals, he's not really a gestalt: He's not multiple robots that combine, he's one HUMONGOID robot whose alt mode is several construction vehicles.
I really like the part where the little robot is watching himself on TV almost looks frightened,, and the 2 daft robot guys hold his hands... Its so cool. GOSH! :
Keep it up, some great work here! I really like the robot with the smoky shoulders :) Robots are hard! I've been working on that myself. Anyhoo, always great to see some nice progress!
That is an awesome work, and thanks but i dont know if i want to make my animation more robotic, my idea was do it like if he were a living creature more than a pure robot
hm, I don't think it's going to be about robot AI, in the same way district 9 isn't really about aliens. Seems like it could be a modern retelling of I Robot (the story not the movie)
They need to stick to making giant robots. That's what the public wants, that's what they really want to do. It's clear that who ever did this did it just to get paid, while dreaming of 80ft tall robots.
Totally. Pretty ominous that the robot just up and leaves after being bullied by that bearded guy. Where did the robot go? To sulk, go for a lonely walk or to arm itself for the uprising? You don't know.
There's a thing called "March of robots" where you make a robot everyday for the month of march, I think I'm ready this time. I'm not as skilled as the vast majority of the people participating but that doesn't matter as long as I stick to it.
Nice, I love the face sculpt. The join between the shoulder and robotic arm looks a little weird, I agree with above about making it 100% robotic but the model looks awesome overall :) Any in game shots?
Here's the boxing ring I made which the robots fight in. Jati made the mist effect. And here's the robot that I modeled. He is meant to be smaller, sleeker, and faster than the other bots. This turnaround was rendered in Renderman.
