is it me or does the cannon itself look somewhat on the short end? also are the tracks exposed on the top or is that something else that jsut happens to look like the tracks, i just cant wrap my mind around why they would be exposed like that - other then that i think this looks great, also looking forward to the bake… -

It's funny you don't realize how much work goes into something until you start working on it :( Here's my beginning stages of 3D blocking out. Started in ZBrush to get a start on basic shape language, exported to Modo to add more geometrical details and rework topo. Landing legs/battle cannons excluded.... -

Sweet cannon! You've done a very good job. My only crit is what has already been mentioned. If you're mirroring the side with text it's going to be backwards on the other side. Maybe take it off and try doing it with an offset alpha'd decal texture maybe?? That would make it look less gay....maybe......mostly...... -

GMod is a fucking awesome game. I used to play it religiously, and actually became quite active in the community. The stuff you can build is pretty amazing. I used to make cannons, trains, planes, boats, catapults, everything. If anyone here hasn't tried it, I highly suggest they do. P.S.: Justin got lolpwnt. -

Instead of screenshotting Painter's viewport I took some time to set up a scene in UE4 to render in. Here is some more progress. I fixed the mirrored text and got started on the gauss cannon. Still need to add some emissive details for the driver + passenger monitors, and improve other things that I'm not really happy with…
