I have 3ds Max 2012 for one particular client who only uses that version (don't want to update their custom plugins), and they require I use V-Ray 2.5 with them. We could upgrade to the latest v3.3 though if they wanted. http://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/VRAY3MAX/System+Requirements
half bath = powder room I just bought a townhouse here in MD about 3 months ago. 2 bedroom, 2.5 Bath (plus an unfinished one in the basement) about 2000 square feet. I'd like the place a lot more if I stopped trying to paint / improve all of it
Maybe they should just go ahead and put this in the bargain bin before release, sorta like a pre-order special. :D "Pre-order and get 3 copies free, so we can make room for other games in our warehouse." :P Unreal Engine 2.5 for the win. . .on Xbox.
awesome models and textures, could you possibly make a tutorial on how you paint faces?? the subtley of the detail is beautiful. ive been playin the game for close to 2.5 years now and part of what keeps me going is the amazing artwork. Toa was impressive as hell and this expansion looks even better.
All I could get was middleware for my first year and a half. Got my first "real" industry job this January, 2.5 years after graduating. And it was worth the wait. Hang in there, and keep making art in the mean time.
Discoloration is fine, but your average color should be close to that normal map 128 128 255. Should look more like this for a boxy asset, http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2Z35mw4QhXA/URpHAR-I7cI/AAAAAAAAAJE/1cQi1ApRU9w/s400/Normal_Map_bump.jpg
newest head, had some reference up while working on it, seems a bit better to me, but what the hell do i know. I feel like im still butchering the eyes. This one was around 2.5 hours
Maybe not the best example, but maybe it gives you some idea. 3ds max 5.1 Scanline renderer Max 2.5 Star supersampler Specular Level = 100 Glossiness = 75 Left = no bump, right = bitmap Bump @ 100
Its gotten bad reviews so far(considering how much it was hyped) 7.8/10 from ign 2.5/5 from gamepsy 5.7/10 from gamespot good thing I wasnt psyched for this game...
Currently it's not huge in games but the Doom 3 (id Tech 4) and Unreal 2.5 Engines both used LWO as their default object format. As Core switches it's native file format to Collada this should become even bigger for games.
