That's the thing - AO takes care of shading the cracks, but it doesn't occlude convex edges like the thin details of nostrils, or the up-facing edge of lower eyelids. This is basically the reason why so many "high end" games can look so cheap as far as characters are concerned, regardless of how polished the source highres…
posted this dozens of times SSAO Reduction By default, UDK has strong Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (SSAO). This is the black halo around everything, and depending on what kind of scene you're doing this can look really good or really bad. If you search "console" in the content browser, UTPostProcess_Console Post Process…
It's very strange that the policy was set to passive by default, usually passive results in a quieter but slower PC. This is something you might use for a power saving mode for a laptop, but for a desktop?! I never setup a liquid cooling system, maybe that's why. Are the radiator fans connected to the standard CPU fan…
I don't know why you seem to be leaning towards Sandy Bridge E processors (socket 2011). While the processor is about the same cost as a 3770k, the performance is slightly lower, and you are paying an arm and a leg for a socket 2011 motherboard. Get yourself a 3770k and a nice z77 board, and you can easily save £100. I…
I agree with projecteagleye - you need to do a form follows function type deal with this - otherwise its panel lines for the sake of panel lines - while panel lines look cool - too many of them is noisy as well as not making sense - I guess you gotta think of it in a way that if you were to design something in real life…
I would make sure that card will fit, in smaller cases I think I have a mid-tower and there isn't much room in that even for my setup. If the card doesn't fit, just get a new case. You can also get that gfx card for a little cheaper and overclocked: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130572 , to pay…
oh god the super scope hahaha and the power glove... "I love the Power Glove...it's so bad." and the best review on the power glove ever... Power Glove
[ QUOTE ] Vyla: you can actually set multiple viewports in wings3d, but it's not set up as such from the start. Just open a new geometry window (window>new geometry window) and drag to fit. Not the best way for it, but it should do to make wings more pleasant to use for you. [/ QUOTE ] Good to know that! I may venture into…
Ok so after some more snooping and thinking I got something thats still within my range, although slightly more expensive. I cut back on some things and uped a few others that I will be able to keep when i get a bit more cash to upgrade a bit more. Case - Antec 300 Versatile Mini Tower - $70…
Agree on both points. Drifting physics were clearly set up just for the drift races, and it was a bit out of hand. One slight flick of the controller even in lower powered cars and you were sliding crazy. Also I found you kinda get 'locked' into a drift, almost like the computer is helping. Still, makes for some showy…
