I'd be happy with an auto topo tool that biased to the world/XYZ grid in order to place loops and avoid spirals. You can kinda force 3d coat to do that with a bunch of control loops and symmetry, but it seems crazy there's not one tool that really tries to do it automatically. -

CPUs: Don't use UserBenchmark.com for any meaningful comparison, they're biased AF towards intel. You only need to read the CPU summaries to see the bias in action. I'm pretty sure that it works like this. Blender sends out a ray outwards from the low poly model with a maximum distance set by distance. If distance is left at 0 the ray is infinite.
