Running 64 bit editor I take? Equally stupid question, but there is enough drive space on both C: + drive UDK is on? There is a SwarmCache folder in Binaries, try to get rid of it. That folder has log files also + LM window has log tab. Check the log and see if any clue. I've had this a few times, it stops at one point…
Neither engine is geard towards anything. As we are talking about coding I'm going to point main diffrences: 1. With UDK you code gamplay code with UnrealScript. It's powerfull tool, yet limited in some cases. CE3 you code gamplay in C++ (*see how everyone running away). You can do pretty much everything. Use custom…
Hi I'm feeling a little bit at a loss here. Whilst working on my character's hair, I decided to see how it was looking in my UE4 scene, and I'm having mixed feelings. :-\ To begin with, before rebuilding the lighting, it looked kinda fine. The only issue was the colour of the hair. Changing the root and tip colours made it…
gonna try to clear up exactly what Extremis is, based on the comic books. Extremis is a nano-tech implant which is injected into the spinal cord just below the skull. in the comic, it takes over the part of your brain responsible for building/maintaining your body, and rewrites your bodys "blueprints". by doing this it…
As others have already said, rebuilding curve is the way to go imo. I've tackled the same problem you are mentioning, and solved it with rebuild curve.
"No retoping to a new mesh is allowed" Well, why not ? Cleaning up an existing mesh involves resurfacing, and retopo is just one of the processes available to resurface geometry - by snapping to a reference surface. Overall this looks like a rather simple shape to cleanup/rebuild in about 10 minutes or so, as It really is…
Hi everyone! I’m working on a material I created in Substance Designer, and I’m running into a visible tiling issue once I bring it into Unreal Engine 5.6. I’ve attached screenshots showing how it looks in the scene. The tiling (2x2) appears especially clearly horizontally. I’ve tried making small adjustments in Substance…
It would be cool to have a Select Spline that Makes This Mesh button ; so you can Rebuild it And maybe just a slider that rebuilds the source spline while in the QP edit mode.
I wonder what happens here with the layoffs. Do they rebuild with this money? This isn't an investment in an "established" studio at this point - This is also going to be funding their rebuild as a company. That probably explains the price-tag on Wildman, though.
