I think the above post deserves its own thread. It's a tough call but here's my best guess based on the scene (actually my best 2 guesses). 1) Tile textures with some unique overlays. 2 for the ground, blended using whatever method available 1 for the concrete ground floor (with strategic cuts to start the brickwork in the…
Thanks for all the info guys. I have another question. Could you guys point me to a tutorial or give me advice on how I would make a tiling texture that I'd bake out using XNormal? Since its a free asset chances are they screwed up, scan area mentioned is wrong etc. Use character scale reference always for patterns and bricks. @VeeNg 1k texture per 4m will give you…
The best thing you can do is experiment. If the wall is plaster and exposed bricks you want to have a texture dedicated to plaster, one one for the bricks provided the bricks and wall are not the same material. If that is the case you might be able to just have seamless texture for the wall that gets reused on the bricks.…

Update! -Added an exterior door wall. -Added a walkway. -Replaced the window opening model with a new one. I also had a question about the back faces of wall models. In the case of the school’s outer perimeter wall, I deliberately removed the back faces to save on polygon count, since no one will ever see that side, it…
