So I decided to take my evil wizard sketch a bit further ... Usually I keep it sketchy, but it's good practice to see how far I can take this without destroying the original vibrancy of the sketch.
Practicing drawing humans from reference. I think I go too far into the details too early in the stage. Gotta research how the old masters draw their figures. Sargent is particularly good in the line economy.
A figure drawing to fit in with the theme. Reference from here. Took longer than I expected to get to this result. Looks like I haven't been practicing enough lately. I'll probably attempt to shade it later this week.

oh so you guys made those spit paints? awesome! I love that war ghost! I'm really horrible at doing speedpaints like that on 30 mins damn, good practice though. here is my war ghost anyways!
Thanks guys! @Stinger88 - cool! try doing an ostrich mech in mid run, or a horse. @knacki - cool man, mechs are fun but like everything they take a bit of practice to get used to, especially if you dont usually draw mechanical stuff.
International Self Portrait Day is coming up on 1 November as it has every year, and what better way to practice than to do this weeks theme as a portrait theme? :D So: This weeks theme is to paint a portrait from a ref photo or real life.

After watching the amazing film "Oblivion" i just felt instantly for making some Fan art to a fantastic film! Also great practice since i started to learn how to draw a few months ago so still very much to learn! :) Cheers!
