Here is a Xpost of my Death progress. If i want to move on should i go to retopo first? before polypaint? Do i do the parts seperately? like body, then armour or do i do it as one... i haven't done this before so help is appreciated :)
I haven't done personal work in a good 4-5 months. Now that I'm unemployed it's time to get back on the bandwagon. This was 1hr + quick polypaint. Nice way to get refreshed with working at home :] EDIT: aw i fucked up this should go into speed model u___u
The boss of the indie studio I work at decided it would be a good idea to make video tutorial of our pipelines and process's which I agree is a great idea and can really help people along so my first video I have done is baking out PolyPaint using xNormals to a lowpoly mesh:…
Doing a few rock studies with zbrush. All of the stones were quickly sculpted (about 3-5min per rock), then polypainted in Projection Master with photo textures, then assembled in 2.5D canvas using the tilde offset functionality. I haven't been using ZBrush for long, so there's a lot of learning to go.
Nice head Scoob! Polypaint looks really solid. This thang is a bit rough around the edges; but i'm callin it done. @Frump: that's cuz it's awesome haha. I'm gonna jump on the bandwagon myself and do a fiddlesticks... *edit here's the base :D i'm gonna try to stream the whole process also.
@ferg I'm a big fan of that sculpt @scotthomer looks great so far. I assume this will be going in cryengine? @crazyfool that's looking really nice. And for an hour, that's crazy! Is that polypaint or projection? I'm not seeing the likeness, but i suspect i just don't know the person it's supposed to be. Also, why you no…
Did this quick sculpt from a sphere and watched the polypaint tutoriel scoobydoofus put out which is awesome haha and also had a picture of the dishonored high overseer up when i did this so its a mix of a few things haha . lol my zbrush render back ground is exactly the same as the page colour
damn....you guys are all awesome at the moment.....too many beautiful stuffs to single just a few out, and yet too I'm fucking lazy to do a full list (it's late, forgive me?) anyway confessions of lethargy aside, working on the skin textures and a quick polypaint test for this ugly bastard :) thanks for lookin' and stuff
Thanks for the comments. It was my first time rendering in Zbrush and I went overboard with the wax modifier for the skin. For the eyebrows I tried using Fibermesh but I couldn't get the settings correct. My other option was trying to polypaint it, but as you can see it didn't come out to well. Do you have any suggestions…
Cross-post to my anatomy thread where I'm learning to model faces more effectively and varied. __________________________ Polypainted and worked on model. Made some fixes and added some detail. The likeness is getting stronger. I think I'll go with the Steve Zissou red beanie, with some light hair coming from underneath.…
