What I suggested is basically data transfer of UV from initial model to one with contracted down faces so their uv space is getting contracted accordingly . I like to work with duplifaces, except this one issue they are awesome, not sure how to reach the level of control for placement, size and rotation when using particles. One workaround I have now, mirror in edit mode and rotate individuals around normal x or y axis, but works only for symmetric disconnected faces.…
I find it very difficult to work different meshes UVs at the same time. You got em all selected, say you want to work on your Second channel, only the last selected object will have its second channel edited, all the other selected objects will end up broken / editing UV channel 1. Any known work around for this? Thank you.
Nice work Monster. Does anyone know how Instances in Blender work? Can I pose instances seperately, like say if they were characters? Can I use fur with instances? Or do they have to be mesh based.
