great to hear it works for you :) I'm a big fan of sqlite. What's also a neat feature of sqlite are in-memory databases. Instead of writing the data to a file, sqlite keeps it all in memory. We used this once in a tool for Maya which allows you to give tags and other additional properties to objects in Maya and then…
school Maxscript project i am working on Topoproject is a 3d topology projection maxscript it enables you to project a flatsurface topology mesh onto a 3d object [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9G3vvyPzX-E[/ame]
That is some very slick stuff, as usual, renderjhs. Have you considered using a color modifier on the cached cube graphics in order to make different colored cubes? It's fairly easy to perform color transforms on Bitmap objects in flash.
Made a quick maxscript (the usual first maxscript people probably make) http://travisevashkevich.com/Shareables/CenterExport.zip It's a export script for all Selected Objects which will center the pivot to the object, put it to 0,0,0 and export then put the object back and reset the pivot. Just made it for some stuff I was…
started work on a max normal manipulation modifier(see the prototype) uses a simplified ( 18 ) vector field to modifier an objects normals, though I'm struggling for a suitable snappy name (i already use theNormalizer for something else :poly118: )
We are accessing the Windows UI of the Editor via a lot of different Windows functions, but the windows COM interface stuff didn't work with python and I only tried it for the modal dialogs, because they initially made problems otherwise, but yesterday I got it working with traditional functions. And yes, basically it is a…
@Yondr I'm happy to share this but I created it to be called from another addon called Pie Menu Editor. So the script as of right now will not work as a standalone addon. That said, enjoy! Just be sure one of the objects has _low suffix!
Thank you :D Ok, so I've added a Load button with a menu option to choose a Library Folder to Load. It then displays this name in the titlebar of the UI. I'm not zipping files anymore currently, just because of possible lag time when loading alot of objects/compressing, and other issues. I set it up to use Object Names…
Some more progress: I added 3 types of Curve Clip types. -Action: This uses a pre made script and the Curve Clip calls a function on that script and passes the interpolated value. -Direct Variable Access: this allows you to set a variable on the target object to the interpolated value. It operates on float, int or vector…
I'm trying to find this script for max. I think it's called setPivot. Its icon is a little pink pin, and you use it to set the pivot (doh) to selected verts or edges or if anything is selected then it sets the pivot to the center of the object. Can't seem to find the script :(
