hey guys I know it's a weird mix, but here's the very start of my concept art / level design portfolio. It has a long long way to go, but I could use some feed back. I'll be updating it frequently in the next few days, this is just the raw functionality and content for now. www.nberna.squarespace.com
Had this old model sitting around and decided to play with it. I considered making it game-friendly but nah, wouldn't really learn much from it and thought I would just make it finished enough so I can move on. I would like crits though as I'd like to make it good enough for a portfolio piece.
I'm trying to teach myself to make high poly models and learn me some zbrush. I'm a traditional sculptor as well, so I'm hoping it'll feel more intuitive for me. Also working on my environment portfolio and making the Phantom's lair from Phantom of the Opera based somewhat off the designs from the musical.
I think I might be doing something wrong with the lighting...I'm really new to UDK so I'm not really sure what I'm doing, this is actually the first piece I try to light and show in my portfolio, all my other pieces have just been screen grabs from the Mesh Editor.
working on a website redo. i just realized i have to more than double my site for all my new/re-organized work. i guess that's what u get when working with an non-specific website [it's not a portfolio like you guys, it's a lot broader and more fun i like to think] experiments in illustrator, nothing too serious
@ Neox I love your art style with that dude @ Ravenslayer I really want a tiny pig panda now :( heres just a little prop I was working on yesterday, I realised I don't have any real everyday props in my portfolio and thought I should get on that. Anyway textures still WIP but crits very welcome :)
Hi guys. Very new and never posted any art. Intimidating group here. I've been updating my portfolio and would love some feedback. I'm working on this right now. She's not rigged but I'd like her to be. Now that I look at the expression I shaped for her quickly, I see how bad it looks. Gotta finish her hands.
Something I worked on couple months ago, never finished it... now I'm going to make a small scene to help beef up the new portfolio. Fixing normal issues, adding more detail to base mesh... haven't even started on the texture (its just a rock texture thing thrown on...) I think I'm going to use Marm for the final shots…
Hi everyone, first post on the forum here. Signed up this weekend. :) Wasn't really sure where to post, but this seemed like a good place to start. I'll probably make a digital sketchbook thread eventually. Working on a character for fun and practice + maybe something for my portfolio. It's Princess Leia from Star Wars.…
At full-size 1024 you might be fine, but once it mips down to a 512 and 256 you could get noticeable artifacts. Unless this is something that should never mip down like a FPV weapon, best practice probably is to pad according to the 1/2 or 1/4 scale mip rather than full size. Very clean packing job either way. Wouldn't be…
