My marmoset doesn't work. When I press material editor, nothing happens, I minimize and maximize, it enters material editor, but in there no option works. All I can do is rotate the camera.
I think if you just jack up the specular intensity and fresenel exponent (with a decent spec map of course) you could get really nice results for ice. I'm sure it can be done in Marmoset.
Ogling over marmoset with the thing I made last night, and I dropped another older unfinished asset into it and made a little light gif! Just to satisfy my inner 11-year-old websurfer.
hi, i dont know if this has been resolved yet, but i recently installed windows 7 and marmosets toolbag isnt working right, im getting this error, does anybody know how to fix this?
Yeap, you're right. It had something to do with the config from marmoset. But I'm too lazy so I just downloaded the toolbag again (lol) and with the default settings it looks way better: Thanks for the help! :-)
Hey EQ, I know about that... :) But even if I try to make the maps as seamless as possible, the normal map will still have seams in it when used in Marmoset... is there a way around this without me painting out the seams
I baked his normals in Zbrush and everything was seamless there...and when rendered in XSI, everything was seamless...it is very weird behaviour. But i love the marmoset renderer... EDIT: It looks like i will have to bake the normals again
Woohoo! I got to check out this tool last fall, which totally makes me cooler than you guys (right?!) It absolutely makes your art look better. I exported this: And here it is in marmoset!
Finally got around to checking marmoset out, awesome tool ! Cheers to the 8 monkeys for releasing this great tool. Is it possible to somehow take a screenshot with alpha background, so I can mess with things in post (photoshop) ?
So I'm really happy with marmoset, but I'm getting this weird glitch on my mesh. The funny thing is, my mesh looks way better in marmoset then in max or xnormal. But in xnormal and max I am not getting this weird glitch. Could it be a graphics card problem? I'm using an ATI Radeon HD 4850. I've been racking my brain around…
