neither did I at the beginning until someone here pointed me that out >.< and thats why I came up with that script somewhat in the beginning. Sadly I cant set the window position - I posted about that on other maxscript focused forums but sadly no answer yet so far. oh thats not nice,- will have a look at it - not yet know…
I fixed the uvw2xyz thingy it seems that internally channels in 3dsmax including poly can only be copied and pasted in a mesh format. Which sometimes turns into garbage if you treat it as a poly. Each time you export the UV out to the 3d space it converts the object to a mesh- once you put it back it converts it back to a…
I have some good progress on my vertice align script it works like this, you select your verts and hit the script, it automaticly detects the flow and will align the verts between the 2 end points on that line. example usage: or what I still plan is a angle snap value (e.g within 2° or 5°) where it detects to snap to…
as mentioned before- here is a example animation of how I tricked with the topology symmetry: if its not clear: The basic trick is to grow the vert selection each time and substract alraedy processed verts from that grown selection, then check if the result are 2 verts (thus a pair) then mirror the 2 in the UV area. There…
You can drag .mzps into viewport, it can notify you that it installed the script (for example with http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/outliner, its a mzp that you can drag and see for yourself :) Or it can just install exactly like a .ms file would for example this one: http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/pen-auto-material…
will have a look regarding the undo stuff any suggestions for that? - another input box would not be so nice, maybe a micro button mode toggle? or the right click for a scale mode (1x,4x,8x). I have read somewhere that the scrollwheel can be accessed in maxscript using dotNet maybe that might give interesting options.…
some functions require at least a editPoly object as base and 1 UVW-unwrap modifier on it in order to work. I will try to reduce sometime soon the forced editPoly obejct type so that you can use those tools on editMesh, teapod, boxes and any mesh/ Poly related object. so quickcheck for you:* you need a editable Poly object…
bigger update: I crossed the buttons that have no functions yet - those are planned atm. but not yet added. Be carefull though as open UV-editor overwrites color settings of your UV-editor such as background color and edge color. I have not yet tried it on other computers here but those should be the only settings that…
