killingpeople, do you mean my uv layout or the entire mesh? I thought of modeling the entire bullet into the magazin but on the other hand, nobody could see it there. Although it wouldn't be hard to do the entire bullet... it's just the lowpoly thats "half". Correct me if I missunderstood something^^
damn i'm having a hard time getting the face to look like the fat governor caucasian. he looks more like a native american now :( (which is rather ironic). i took some liberties with the topology, but it's all there for the fat tissue and shape. don't know if this is good or bad though :/.
So I wuz like "holy sh*t DomWar IV". And then I wuz like "crap I can´t sculpt shit"...so I´m learning Mudbox now. God I love this prog. It´s like ZBrush just without the hard, confusing and complicated.
Blenderhead - well really I am more interested in portraits of people for the most part. point taken though, I should do some more finished body stuff. Its just finding the enthusiasm/inspiration. its hard to get motivated to do high quality stuff if its not a live job.
More playing with ZBrush... I think I'm going to turn this lobster man into a full on sculpt. Whipped him up in about 2 1/2 hours with a Zsphere armature and Sketch ZSpheres to bulk him up, then a touch of "Smooth Valleys" to get rid of most of the hard edges between the strokes.
cheers ruz! so the actual 3d-face will not look like the concept.. all in all it's a bit close to the reference.. maybe a bit too close.. we'll see it should match the style but not the person .. bit hard to do :shifty: so forgive me steffen :poly122: just playing around with the hair yet
commander_keen: that looks cool and useful! been working on this for 2 days now and my brain is starting to hurt. when i finish the high poly i'll make a new thread. most of the big detail is in. need to add in all the rivets, screws, etc. as well as do the other side which isn't hard
cooool swizzle, here's some crap I whipped together, I've got a pilot girl going in 3d (trying out soem hard surface modelling) and I thought she could use a ride. Not sure if I'll go with this design. I want it too feel more russian (red blok, baby).
this looks almost exactly like a lady I met a few days ago, except she didn't have that much boobage (and of course, she had hair, clothes). Firmer boobs would be nice, but nice work all the same! It's hard to tell in the early stages but I think you're off to a great start.
Work in progress Cyborg model that I am working on last days to learn hard surface. Lots of things that i dont like in here, but its already to late to change. Now I just want to finish this one and start new one, beter one :p (damn retopo, and textures still to come ....)
