How do I model the disk part as well as the screens? Since this mesh has an odd number of screens, I had to make a 14 sided cylinder in blender, keep two of the 14 faces, extrude the screens, and duplicate and rotate the faces 7 times. I want to add a bevel to the mesh because importing this mesh to 3D Coat for sculpting…
@Lemenus I'd add a vertical edge loop to the middle of those three faces and distribute every edge loop evenly. This is more for making the silhouette of the curvature less jagged. A horizontal edge loop across all of them would probably help more to lessen the artifacts. I mainly recommend modeling a high poly and baking…
This might not be the best way ever for sure, but i started with a geosphere, deleted some faces and use the sperify modifier, then collapsed and manually bridged the faces. The results are not very clean but with some more play around you coud get a decent enough version. This took like 5 minutes, so if you spend more…
Hey guys any idea on how to fix this seam ? I tried replacing the faces and adding a new edges but its still there any help would be very much appreciated!
@BladeSharpe So what you want to do is nail your curvature first and then put in that hole. Trying to model a curved surface around a hole will usually result in errors in your mesh. A hole is subtraction by nature. It's also a secondary form to the form of the handle which would be your main form. What I've done here is…
@Thanez Hello!! thank you so much for resolve my question, I know I´m little bit a picky person jeje. jaja don´t worry I can wait, and yeah for sure! I´m interested. So Thanez let me share you another problem it suppossed to be easy but still I´m having problems… first I´m aware that I can resolve it with te boolean…
Sweet man. Much appreciated. I was going to table flip some shit if you accomplished that with like 20 faces :D That stack is mad man. Gonna try something like this.
I would not say "enabled by default" but flipping faces with the clone modifier with 10 edit poly mod stacks does wonders to my files (read corrupt) for a good percentage of time.
Can't you just use a geosphere? Or put a vert in the middle of each of your hexagons, and scale up slightly? Or bevel outward a bit, then collapse the face to a point... Must be missing something...
:poly127: (what i imagine perna's face looks like reading your post lol) Watch his video of cylinder segment matching. It's linked only a few posts above yours.
