Hi jogshy, I've run into a few potential bugs with xNormal 3.17 Beta 3 - 3.17.0.36069 x86. The Optix renderer is FAST! :D Unfortunately it doesn't seem to obey the Max frontal or rear ray distance settings. It doesn't seem to cast any rear rays at all either. Am I supposed to use a cage with the Optix renderer? Here's a…
sry for the delay, just a little busy at the moment. i have other personal models that also gives the same error, i will send you the models soon. i am using obj format, and exporting from maya ( with smoothing and normals option on)
Hi all, If someone can assist in height map generation that would be great...... It sometimes works sometimes not but please see the image below for the error I'm currently getting and can't seem to shake. http://i819.photobucket.com/albums/zz114/Chubbydan_slob/Height_Example.png
I'm getting the following error when i try to view an approx. 16k triangle model in the 3d viewer in 3.11.1.7199 (64-bit). Also receive the same error when i try to render the mesh. I've been able to render by cutting the model into small sections. But haven't been able to view "invalid function parameter 'msh->UVs.size()'…
[ QUOTE ] Same memory errors, for no apparent reason. Whats most frustrating about this is that its erroring when its trying to dilate, after the map is actually rendered. Surely no reason to being using gigs and gigs of memory if you're only doing a post thing to expand the pixels on the image, right? [/ QUOTE ] Yep, only…
I'm having the same problem, except it's happening on every version I have used. Everything comes out pixelated and blurry, as if it's been resized many times. I'm also having problems with some stuff not being baked. it might be user error tho.
average normals has no effect and my UV's and vertex normals are welded. here is the wire render: everything is ok with my mesh. i am only getting this error on the 3.16.0 of xNormal, previous vertions and other tools (maya/max) gives proper result.
hello santiago, i was wondering if there were an error log somewhere. i've tried my hand at using the commandline to run several AO bakes overnight, and basically all it does is load up xnormal, flash me a window for about .1 second, and then exit..
[ QUOTE ] Tried the Simple AO Gen, but I get this error: [/ QUOTE ] What graphics card do you use? Need a card with OpenGL 1.2 + shading language support + FBOs ( Radeon 9XXX/GeForce FX or above ) or to update your drivers if they are too old.
Just a note, its pretty standard to put our mirrored/instanced peices out of the 0-1 range when rendering, so we dont get any errors from the same thing rendering over something else. Will this still work with this new change?
