Double post. Here's something I just noticed -- nowhere in the UI does it tell you the name of the project you currently have opened, haha. Doesn't say it in the window name, in the document settings, or in the viewport... it doesn't even put it as the file name when you select "Save as." If I'm missing where this info is,…
Hey malcolm, Did you import these textures through the UI or did you just copy them in the shelf folder in Windows? There is a specific folder for alphas when creating a custom shelf so anything in the textures folder should automatically be tagged as texture unless told otherwise duing import through the UI where you can…
Thanks for answering Bek, but I'm using various fill layers with generators and smart masks. The Allego doc page says I should literally apply the Levels filter to each individual layer, so unfortunately I don't think this is possible in SP.
I'm testing painter a lot lately, the only things I really miss are: *directional lights in viewport *adjustmentl layers for folders *saving in psd preserving the masks I really hope allegorithmic will put those 3 things in the next update :D
-You can find jittering options in the advanced Brush settings rollout (click twice on the brush rollout). -No way to reset a stencil for now. -You can use the selection tool to mask by element, simply hit T and then select the selection tool to maks out parts of the object by face or element (I to invert the mask, T to…
@Mant1k0re not yet, but i thought i saw it on the roadmap. for now people use a stencil or when you go slow with the brush it looks like painter is very forgiving. @NormalTri Put the effects layer in a folder and use your predefined mask on this folder. Have fun
As Jordan. Masking is a huge task... What I'd like to see is the ability to work on tiling textures with depth masking. IE Using height map information to control where to put painting. It could work on fill up to or fill until, so let's say I have bricks and mortar, select fill up to and fill my mortar with greyish color,…
Awesome stuff:) I wonder if there's gonna be an overlap between SD and SP. Will you be able to generate details through masks in the painter, or is the designer needed? Still even it terms of painting on it's own, it looks great, multi-channel brush is something I've been dreaming of for a long time.
Not sure what I am doing wrong, but I cant get stencils to work in the latest version of Painter. I can set the stencil up fine but then when I go to paint noting is being masked out. Anyone have any clue what I could be doing wrong?
I'm working on making a good bridge between Designer and Painter, trying out and looking at a number of different methods, but so far I've been unable to find something that really suits my fancy. My setup is that I have these complex graphs in Designer where I Tri-Planar map my materials, and I'd like to blend between…
