Oh, nevermind that ,it is OK :) A more perfect solution is to rework the action so it uses a clean black and white render of the UVs as a base for the layer masks. Such texture could be easily created using TexTools Another possible solution is to add a layer style with "inner glow" set to the default normal map color… -

yeah im planning to take those ones out, its only because i was mirroring the texture (which is being resized to 256x256. Its to be used as a Hud weapon, so i can take even further polys out soon enough. cheers for all the crit keep it coming! -

Are you trying to use lightmaps on your static meshes? If so, then UV channel 1 (0 in UnrealED) needs to be 0 to 1 non-overlapping. Also a setting of 0 means vertex lighting. You can double click the mesh in the Generic Browser and set the lightmap resolution as well. Maybe you clicked one too many checkboxes and have gone… -

Nice result on the tutorial, I'll be picking this up myself at some point. I need to learn how to maximize my texture detailing! As for the fence, its a chain link fence, covered by concrete on one side, wood on the other and covered in burlap and the whole thing has been electrified to 25,000 volts. So stay the fuck out…
