Quake! : Heya! Thanks man! yea it is a shame but pixel art broforce will have more content, which is more important :) Im busy working on the cinematics. We are gunna implement a competitive face punching cinematic soon (where players smash X to beat up the mook general) Heres a concept for the mook general
Cinematic was cool, but lets be real, the gameplay will be nothing like it. Wish they still showed cool trailers, like the E3 2007 Halo 3 one, with actual gameplay and cinematics straight from the game (actually ingame not this prerendered stuff). Might be a bit biased here and probably a lot of people won't agree with me…
It's probably because this is film/cinematic? type stuff, when most around here are real time peoples. Look cool, plugins are fun, but how about some original work? What do you want to do as a career? Answer the question and then work on that. If you want to do effects for film/cinematics, then you are on the right track.
So I assume you're trying to light a dynamic object? Is this for cinematic type lighting or in game? If in game the model should use a light environment in which case they will only ever get 1 dynamic shadow and lighting should be built. If you're trying to achieve cinematic lighting, turn off light environment on the…
Okay, so maybe I found Bioshock sort of boring, but the preview cinematics have always been incredibly thrilling. I love getting thrown around and eviscerated in first person in all of them. The latest is just as fun, and I enjoy it, even if I have no real opinion/excitement for the upcoming game. The abusive cinematics…
Hey Polycounters! Here is some of the work I've done on Need for Speed: Payback as cinematic Lighting Artist. There is even more on the artstation page. <3 Artstation: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/8lkQaw Polycount Thread:…
Nope, it's Digic all the way :-) In my opinion Digic makes better cinematics then blur in the sense that their visuals are nearly matching, however Blur these days are beginning to fall short on the story part, it might be because they are taking on more and more projects at a time but their stories just gets more and more…
im planning on doing a very minor animation (just cam moves) of a couple gray shaded models to satisfy my hardon for cinematics. so im using my marine and yellow jacket gun im essentially going to copy the intro to wrath of the lich king cinematic with my marine sitting on a a conquered protoss throne. here is the start
What's the difference? Most games that do zero-player-control cinematics render them to a bink anyway, so that bugs introduced in development don't break the cinematics. Plus, then the game can be loading the next level in the background. I also don't see anything in those videos that prevents Valve from exporting a…
Thank you very much for the feedback; heres some useful links where i learned about cinematics: http://ubudave.weebly.com/udk-creating-a-video-sequence.html http://treadster.com/blog/creating-cinematics-in-the-udk-7-part-tutorial/ UDN is great resource for everything UDK…
