Looking at the previous page, 5, here it doesn't look like you took perma and EQ's advice too much. IMO the model still has tons of screwball edges and modeling strangeness to it. Well maybe you could do a combination of both.Make a couple of uniquely sculpted pieces but just sculpt in major cracks and crevaces to save time and just rotate em when placing.You could then just vertex paint the minor details to make them look differently from each other further and add those little micro details.Just… -

that's better :) Looking really cool man. Her face is looks great. I love the way you've done the lips, they look fuller than the concept though. It just sounds like traditional art fundamentals. Try to learn some concepting on the side of doing your art, sketching, drawing, etc. Study lighting from movies and games you like. Paint a scene/prop in 2-3 different lighting situations, experiment with lighting in your 3D app/game engine of choice. Just my 2 cents :) -

I think it's too broken up... Put all of your same projects together and in order instead of hashing it all up like a salad. Then, determine what is your best work and put that at the end. Take out the guy that is crossing his legs and the guy pushing the box it's too short and seem to be fillers. Those are my 2 cents :P… -

Fuckin a ! That looks spectacular. In the pic of the real weapon above, the grip on the handle seems to stand out more. In your model, does it seem like its (the handle grip texture) getting a wee bit lost ? Seems like maybe the edges of that grip pattern could be darkened a bit ? Anyhoo, just my silly two cents. The bat need more details in the wood to metal plate transistions. It could be made in the diffuse using darker lines around the plates. Also use a less uniform specular on the metal and more distinctive scratches might help read better. Dont over-estimate the normal map, the diffuse often need its quantity of details to… -
