Summing up everything said here. Suggestions: -Stick this post with a Bold Red font at the top of polycount. -Embedded 900px images or 2 pictures at max 1600px? -Simplify rules at SignUp with bold and red color. -Dev stuff. (many ideas). ps. does the green rounded and happy guy have a name? I never thought about that.
Hey guys here is my submission for the challenge, I still need to tweak the likeness and texture it. I used split UV islands to bake down the normal maps, but the issue is that it makes it a nightmare to paint over in PS, even the curvature map was giving noticleable seams. The roof was made with 8 different tile meshes…
Yeah I would create the normal map first then apply it as a color map and then convert to file texture. Or just convert to file tex on a light grey shader and overlay that on the normal map is PS. I don't think there's a way to do what you want in 1 step in Maya though. But Whargoul might know some uberhidden trick.
I'm having 100% problems in max 2012! >.< This probably won't help but it's worth a stab.. http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/index?id=2334435&linkID=9241178&siteID=123112#section1 Grab the service pack 1 and hotfix 2 In my opinion, if you can go back to 2011 :P - I personally use 2010!
i love these awards are so open, here goes my suggestions: People: Damian Lazarski (TeaAndCigarettes), Hans Palm (Millenia) for the amazing foliage and shotgun tutorials they did a while ago Studios: elite3d, so many great people there Tools: LazySave PS extension, it probably saved me days of exporting tga files from…
My biggest problem is, to make it look like that some of the wrinkles are "crestfallen", it just looks like little hills for me not like folds if i try to use the standard brush PS: What do you mean with "add some gravity to the inflat brush"? Just using the inflate brush, so that it looks like it´s affected to gravity?
You are right in that that pic is taken with out perspective. But I use Wings3D and model in nothing but perspective, then import them to maya and use PS to texture them and Maya to render them, that is why I do not like changeing the mesh after starting with the texturing, also because the UV map is already made and I…
[ QUOTE ] Nice! I love that one Nice bunch really! I think that on some pics the cropping is a bit extreme though. It looks a bit forced somehow (maybe you cropped them in PS afterwards - in that case I'd love to see the originals). Sweet! [/ QUOTE ] Ha! It's my favourite. Unfortunately Gail hates it and fought with me to…
Hey there. I have never texture anything low poly, but I remember there were some tutorials on this page http://www.poopinmymouth.com/tutorial/tutorial.htm where he is using bodypaint and PS to texture a low poly gun and a little after there is one on how to texture low poly characters. This is all I can think of now... I…
Update: I ended up redoing both parts. Big lesson learned for not doing a blockout and getting main proportions correct. Still need to do a few more pieces on the back of the terminal and the wire connecting the keyboard. C&C welcome. PS: Are the keys too big? These old school terminals had beefy keys but... Thanks for…
