The pressure sensitivity is fine, in my experience you have to use slightly more force than with wacom. For a general tablet though huion is great, I always say if you're going to do freehand illustration, wacom might be better because it has tilt which sort of picks up on the angle you hold the pen. As a side note you…
Thanks @FreemanH and @ZombieDawgs! Here's a new one we're working on! This one isn't really a WIP anymore, as we just recently finished. But I will show some WIP images as well as some finals... The Beretta M9. Once again we model each component as its own mesh. You can see all the moving parts here... And as a breakaway,…
I'm traditionally trained, so perhaps accounts for my position where there is little to no difference between the two mediums when visualising idea's either by freehand or pre-programmed CG tools. I did previously express to the OP, a level of experience is required to translate facets of a particular 2D image, at least I…
Hi there! We are Matthias and Oliver from "Project Paranoia". That is the working title of our current project: A Point & Click adventure in classical "LucasArts" / "Thimbleweed-Park" style. Currently, we're looking for people who want to collaborate and to supply graphics (pixelart). What is "Project Paranoia" about?…
I just quickly wanted to answer my first question there. That plane in my pic was one that I imported from Maya. Apparently the Zbrush WrapMode always wraps at a certain distance, not based on UV's or anything like that. In other words, you can't use rectangular shapes or anything outside of that pre-determined square…
Luxology has pushed modo 501 out the door in time for the holidays. I'm imagining that many loved ones of 3d artists are cursing their luck as they had already purchased a Cintiq or something else of lesser value than this release. As you can imagine, there is improvement and new features across the board and there's no…
Conceptart.org: Tons of Tutorials Guides and More The perspective assignments are some very good practices. http://www.youtube.com/user/FZDSCHOOL Watch Fengs lectures while you work. Every episode is interestingly amazing/Informative! A few common mistakes I use to make were: 1.Drawing completely from the wrist and not at…
I'm a bit confused by what you said so I just went through and tried to draw everything I remember from my draw through classes (not taught by Scott, but by his students.) One thing I noticed is that your first two actually look way better than the one you said you were able to draw the perspective grid off of the ellipse.…
~ Like r_fletch says, neither is really 'better'. I just like the way Maya's 'repeat last function' tool works if I'm going to be doing a very repetitive thing, and I like the way the move tool works when you use it in freehand mode. I literally model in whatever I have open, and then export the OBJ and carry on modeling…
Wonder how long it will be until people just group themselves as "people" or "human". I feel like this is somewhat relevent but perhaps i'm naive as i myself am not a member of a minority but at the same time i dont really distinguish between anything... people are people. [ame="…
