We're aiming for 3D simplistic stylization - low-poly models with flat colors, dictated by a single master color palette. This is because players have the option to make over 500k iterations of these models, we're working with voxel terrain, and we need to hit the Rift's 76 fps requirement. Here are some examples: Gameplay…

Option C: gumroad, 3dmotive, youtube. save yourself a boatload of debt and use cheaper learning resources readily available that are made by people currently in the industry. Only downside is you have to be super self motivated and disciplined to actually put in the work consistently. Save yourself 30-50k of debt and start…
cool, looks much better now. polycount depends on the destination of the gun. FPS games require very detailed gun models, tpp and other genres not so much. i recall that most weapons made for Darksiders 2 were somewhere around 1500-2000 tris, and that's a TPP game. For FPS guns polycount of 5000 tris would probably be…
Hi! That's oglu said: Hi! That's exactly what im thinking. Since you can get Titan X (maxwell) with about the same price as 1080. 1080ti and titan x pascal is starting to be a bit too pricy for my simple taste. Titan X has more CUDA cores than 1080 and 12GB of ram. Does it make a difference? When this CUDA stuff comes to…
generally.. any argument i hear about UDK not being able to support the geometry is complete rubbish. here's a few notes. 1. UDK occludes all nonseen geometry, therefore if you are inside a building, in a room, nothing else is being rendered on the outside of that room until you walk out of it. an object behind another…
I've had a lot of memory problems with R4 that seemed to show up after the latest patch, mostly with the available mem always being low and bpr renders on high(50mil+) poly sculpts crashing.
finished up the handle and did the low poly,Lod0 should be under 500 tris so it's fine, but lod1 under 300...and that's it's just impossible to do I think :(
Hi, I'm interested in this; but it might be better outlining what i'd have at the end of the course. Will i end up with a small portfolio project? Or is it more a series of basic tutorials so to speak. I'd prefer the course to set me a task, the mentor teach me how to best approach the task and the calls each week going…
