Hello! That's my entry: I wanted to join a scifi setting with ancient ruins; I also wrote a short story to justify this overlapping of settings in my WIP thread: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=138130
I've always liked retro scifi illustrations. At some point I plan on doing something like that myself. I really like your station. Will you also do the retro blinking lights as computer terminals?
looks awesome, i too was a bit confused by the girls, they're a bit blatently 'tits and ass'. On a real nit pick they seem a bit too scifi for what looks alot like current gen military hardware.
The assault rifle looks like it squirts water or bubbles while making some scratchy electronic sounds that may have been considered "SciFi" during the 90s. Try to add some irregularity to those cylinders on the bottom.
Nice work man but change the red yellow buttons on that last picture to something else (more appropriate). With those current ones, it looks like a toy or from some old child scifi movie. Keep it up!
Very cool! I'd actually been considering doing one a hipoly of the new Ultimate line Iron Man armour because I'm enjoying scifi hard edge designs a lot these days. This is extra motivation r.
Blender and zBrush. I come from a time when 3D was scifi. The fact that my laptop can perform this voodoo is amazebuckets. That also goes for Substance, Gimp, Krita, Unity and Ureal. These Toys make me a happy little vegemite.
I personally think this is great. Your most recent concept is beautiful. The contrast between the modern scify esq throne and nature is simply stunning. Can I ask in which engine you will be rendering in and are you planning on a PBR workflow?
Hi there!!! Just found this challenge. I see nice work around, well done people! I'm going after the scifi environment, maybe it's too late to start but i'll do my best B) This is the blockout so far.
Not to be a spoil-sport since its looking really kick-ass, but technically the concept has been in a commercial before, however it was smoother and made of chrome and used in SciFi's channel branding a few years back (If I remember correctly at least).
