Is photoshop your default image viewer for the format you're trying to save/open? Does the error occur when you save the image, or try to open the image after saving? Try changing the default program for the file extension (.jpg, .png, .gif) to be something like, "windows image viewer" or something like that. Cheers, D -
Auto assign material - 3ds max
Is there a way to have a default grey material already assigned to an object when it is created? i saw an old thread about this a while back but cant find it. in addition, itd be kinda cool to have black wireframe, default material, bounding boxes off, and wireframe showing, when the object is created. if anyone used this… -

probably a difference in that unreal uses z up and maya default is y up. under shading turn on xray joints to view the skeleton. IIRC you can just go to skin>reset to bind pose and that should correct the weirdness. If you are working on animations in maya it may be worthwhile to set default to Z up (in preferences),… -

I just use the default scanline i tried the Vray one but EVERYTHING just came out terrible so i gave up on it... i tried the last one on this tutorial... but it failed so i went back to the default scanline... and here i am asking for help... could it be that the High Poly is not touching or inside the low poly? -

Weird. What hardware are you running on? Maybe the graphics card can't handle it? Also maybe the defaults have been corrupted somehow. In Windows 8, 3ds Max stores the defaults in C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\<maxversion>. After you uninstall, delete these folders, then re-install. Maybe this will… -

Elder tirans head budgets are also significantly lower than his default head item. Those horns get expensive. I noticed recently that tides back slot is arbitrarily a 128X256 texture budget. Seems odd that the piece that presents the most real estate gets half the texture res as his head. (Theres nothing there by default) -

I wouldn't say layout its more of a way of speedy relaxing stuff with user input. At least I always did the layouting (moving parts) in max. And the relaxing or unfolding stuff is rather what max sucks at by default + everything is scattered in countless tiny and dated operations which make the whole unwrapping part in max… -
SP - Particle Brush Broken?(Solved)
Just wondering if the PB's are broken in newer versions? For instance, with a default leak/heavy leak brush it's behaving as if the global wind X=-1, so that the particles always fall about 45 degrees screen right no matter what.
