I don't know you're level of skill, but if you are trying to get a portfolio together by April, I'd suggest sticking to low poly (sub 500), so that you'll be able to get things finished and give your own take on texturing. You can get a lot done with a serious work effort if you keep your goals realistic.
Actually, I checked your white balance in your settings. Go to manual and try to add blue to it. Try 7500. Edit: Simple rule for white balance. If its blue add blue. If its red add red. Just switch it to custom and below 5000ish it becomes more red, which means it cancels out red, and above 5000ish it is blue, which means…
@Benc: Thank you very much for taking the time to do that paintover. I agree with the cylinder issue, they are taking quite a lot of polys in there. I also just realised that whats taking most of my polycount at the moment are the AMMO boxes, so Ill deffinately be simplyfing a lot those (at the moment overall they are…
Can you give some specs? It really looks like you're not using your polygons well. Adding polygons just for the sake of adding polygons is stupid. I had a go at modeling this at various polygon counts. I really don't think you need more than 500 triangles. Why do you need three or so sheets? Only the top one affects the…
Ha Great news, I was actually re-reading through this and had thought i might have given you an answer that wouldn't have helped, glad to see it worked out. TLDR : TLCR = Can't read. I would much rather you went to youtube to look up a proper guide with video that would help much more than reading all this. Also I don't…
Dear Jaker, The car is for Cities skylines. The high poly models can only have 500 - 1000 Tris. So that's why. And I even have to make a lower poly version of this one, because when you zoom out the model get downgraded, since it is not necessary to view a highpoly car from such a great distance. I hope this made it clear.…
Had a similar reaction, I felt old watching this. Microsoft has a very derivative and safe approach that I can't stand, but I can appreciate what they're doing with the hardware. 4k/60fps for a $500 console, confirmed for Forza at least, is fairly impressive.
Your images are really small, size those up imo, your site is like 80% grey, and if you want to actually see your work you have to click around/go back all the time. So go to something like 1280x720 instead of 500x281, and save as jpg. For your resum
