RAM for my motherboard
I'm trying to get a bit more speed out of my computer without too much investment and thought I would get more then my 2 GB ram. Its not that they don't have skinning, its that the verts are weighted 100% to one bone. A lot the early 3D games from the original PlayStation used 1:1 skinning. I couldn't resist to try out some more fancy stuff before I continue pimping the cornell box. Here is a ray marched skylight with multiple samples. Runs nicelly. I get around 120 fps with 32 samples per pixel. -

i used to have 3ds max 8 as student edition, its way cheaper (around 120 euro) and you can use it for 2 years if youre a student. just not for comercial use. 3dtotal is affiliated with DW too as far as i know. - Rick. -

Who needs a 120 GB drive? I have a 10 GB, and I have only used 1 GB of it. From what I read, you can't transfer your own videos onto the hard drive, anyone know if it is possible? -

In the area of Engine development yes but Epic has only 120 people (Wiki) and can maybe afford to live from the engine alone. A bad Gears of War or Unreal Tournament can be survived. Compared to Crytek Epic is the small niche but with greater success in engine licencing.
