High res shots are all well and good, but lets try to keep them below, say 2500 pixels wide please. 5000 and 7000 is just really excessive. I've edited your post to simply link to the image, feel free to add sized-down images back to the thread, and also feel free to keep the links to the mega huge ones as well. Also, from…
Well, no timelapse for this one, folks. I am having the worst time rendering 8hrs of footage at 500% so fuck it! Here are a few quick process images that I can show instead. This is a BPR Render with a simple clay shader applied in ZBrush. This is slide shows basically what I started with and where I'd ended up after…
Hey, mate^^ Thanks a lot! The ones you can see are 40-50mm, they are currently in production, hopefully they'll be out by October, just finished cutting them actually. :)
You can use the Substatue modifier as well if your obects are already placed. http://docs.autodesk.com/3DSMAX/15/ENU/3ds-Max-Help/files/GUID-3BC1CAA5-508F-4820-B8CC-776ED2E88439.htm
It is hyperbole, but I wanted to have some impact with it. :] I have used this on a 10k tri object and my VERY picky normal map eyes couldn't spot errors. I'm not saying errors can't be present, but on that object it was great. I will be trying this on a 50k tri hard surface object soon and I will have a more definitive…
Cheers for the Critique dude... I will work on that, yeah I have since started working more on my topology now, I worked on this piece which was fun for me to do... you can find it here... https://www.artstation.com/artwork/50WDz but you're correct I Don't invest enough edges to make my objects round, I worry they will…
Hi dimwalker, I'll go with your post as I have the same problems as you. nDo crashing the whole SUITE when trying to launch it and no material listed in dDo even if in 3DO all is ok. I'm about to reformat totally my PC and redone a fresh install of everything. My Specs : Quixel SUITE 1.4 Photoshop CC x64 Dell Workstation…
Neat progress mate, I bet you're learning a ton just from tackling a full anatomy sculpt and that's always exciting! Incoming wall of text. ;) I think you're dealing with perhaps one major issue at the moment, but it's something that is resulting (and will continue to cause you) some additional problems. Right from the…
@Jharo Hey ! Thx for your crit! I'm glad you like the dragon sculpt it was a lot of fun doing it  I enjoyed a lot doing the nephalem too. For the actual stairs I have already delete the backfaces but yes stairs i think i'll try to retopo them completly with the minimum number of polygons and see what the bake look…
Yeah if you're importing dense raw meshes just to bake, performance issues shouldn't be much of a problem. This will tax your CPU/Ram more than anything. If you want to retopo a dense raw mesh to create the low over the high, import a lower level sub-d that your PC can handle. Max really isn't suited to work with raw polys…
