Oh neat - backed! Although I was hoping for something isometric to bring back the spirit of Ultima I - VIII... Still, sounds really awesome. I hope he get away from the "Quest Marker" type gameplay. I really loved the open world in the Ultima games where you have to stumble into the story and find out everything yourself
Great work, thanks for sharing. Also for reason, I like seeing maya's default blue wireframe and clean topology on a gray background. Gives me a sense of peace and hope :)
Thanks for the crit! I put him a bit lower down because I was hoping for a less refined look. In the beginning he was looking more like a fey guardian type of creature, and I really want him to be a brute force thing, on the same level as maybe an uruk-hai orc. Here's hoping I can nail that look. Cheers!
Some more progress, I've set myself a soft deadline for the lowpoly to be finished by this coming weekend. Been trying to play around with the stairs...I am unsure about them though. I like their design, but I almost don't feel like stairs fits with the kind of cultural aesthetic I was hoping to push in the scene. I feel…
Haha apparently the above poster forgot that blizzard made Starcraft which is Sci-fi and Bungie made the Myth series which was Fantasy (sorry I'm a computer game nerd). If you want your texture to tile both horizontally and vertically, type in a numerical value for both the H and V boxes. The number should usually be half of what your texure size is, so if your…

Right there, is everything that is wrong with American law enforcement. That type of cop is way way too common. I hope the family takes everything he's ever had and ever will have. I hope that during his 6mo in county something small and dull finds some place deep and dark between his ribs. But he needs to live with it…
I always did this type of rounded bevel with the spin tool in Blender. I've also been looking for the equivalent in Maya but so far the closest I've come across is 'edit mesh > wedge'. I hate that it's the one tool you have to be in multi mode to use, also you have to delete the extra faces afterwards :/
