as I understand it each unique point takes a byte of data, at least, without any texture or lighting information. He's talking about "64 "atoms" (read: voxels) per cubic millimeter. That means their grid is 1/4096th of a meter on each edge, so each cubic meter is 4096x4096x4096 = 68.7 billion voxels per cubic meter."…
