Your works fine for Env/props atm, the main benefits from drawing are better understanding of form, perspective, anatomy, lighting and composition. Also while it is possible to learn anatomy through sculpture alone, it is harder without drawing. Depends how and which direction you want to progress in as an artist. Andrew… -

Hey sadly i can't really give you an answer to the question(s)? ^^ But I think that you are having to many thought's about the differences between the 'normal' and PBS system. Maybe you can edit the textures in a way so that they look correct in the old game. But here at work for example i only use our engine to texture… -

sometimes files go bad, get corrupt etc. instead of trying to figure it out what i do is just start a new file and rebuild with clean geometry from the old file. so what i would do in your case is this... 1) export your objects on the lowest and highest level as obj's. 2) import your set of low obj's into a new file. 3)… -

if it's just an object you want to import into the cryengine then the usual broken-model methods might come into use. You are working with maya so I'm not sure what the usual procedure would be there but in max you can do stuff like export as obj then reimport or create a box an attach the model to it. Any time you use the same uv's mirror'd on geometry you should make sure that the textures are flush, which might be one reason for your problem.
