Make sure your monitor is HDCP compliant, else the HDMI-DVI converter won't do much. As for progressive, yes, you can. I'm using my PS3 with an LG Flatron, and since it maxes out at 1680x1050, I can't do 1080p, but I /can/ do 720p. -

I got the acer 20 inch X203w for $169 2 weeks ago from NewEgg. The viewing angle and brightness are excellent, the only bad thing is it's not height adjustable, so I put a phonebook under it. -

The sword looks good, but 3200... that really doesn't need to be 3200 more like 1200-1600 all the slices in the grip can go, so can the little orb and all the micro slices. The blade is pretty clean polywise but a few more could come off that as well. If you can see it in your renders or have to zoom in the see the detail… -
