I'm trying to learn hard-surface modeling in max with Turbosmooth. My question is pretty much what the image says. Is there a better way to do this so that it doesn't pinch that way around the outside?
A quick update on the engine, I added some parts and refined other. Still some pinching in a few place that I will fix later. I will now move on other parts and start creating cables to connect all this parts together.
Right now, when you get to it, refine the clothing folds as well as referencing real life photographs of similar clothing. Specifically pinch folds and make things sharper so we move from lumpiness to better cloth definition.

Thank you Jungsik! :) When it comes to his skin and wrinkles i think i will be using some alphas with exaggerated intensity at first and then smooth them out to get a rough wrinkle that i can finetune with clay and pinch brush.
Another version, I think it needs something else, I tried to make it less busy without losing the idea that it's grass... also I can see a few odd pinches in the grass. This is the original tile repeated 4 times.
It´s slightly smaller than the demo head that came with mudbox. I scaled it up but now my pinch tool started acting weird too...Is there some way to reset mudbox? Maybe I accidentally messed something up?
JO420- looking good think your stones are fine...blobby they are but supposed to be...dont get sucked in by the trend for pinched surfaces they look great... bretmcnee- probably cos your used to seeing an inverted (comparitively) green channel no biggy to swap
Lookin good, but get a real face on there :p The top curvature of the pecs in the side view pinch in towards the top a bit much, drags my eye there. Seconding roosters eye on the butt, looks like it's sitting down a bit low?
