Really? I mean I suppose its because its my "job" to follow threads closely but I had my votes picked weeks ago when I saw what they were doing as a videogame artist. One vote certainly makes you sit and think hard about it, which I love :)
Man this is rad ! From the dark foreign atmosphere to the exotic unknown creatures, it's a true masterpiece, alien lands are a fantastic concept to work on. I so wish this was a videogame, it has been a long time since there was a decent exploration game was produced, this is huge ! Your book will be a fantastic and…
Poop: However, for people living outside the US and Canada (where a lot of very good videogame art opportunities are), a degree is often required to even get into the country for any length of time. So while it may not prove to be useful in terms of landing a job due to artistic skill, artistic skill alone will not get you…
I can understand some skepticism, since for videogames "card game" and "free to play" have often been associated with some really crappy releases. This game is awesome though. Really fun and actually has quite a bit of depth. Since it's free to play though, you don't have to take my word for it...
It's not for me and I suspect many fans of the videogames will most likely complain it's not to their liking either, but it'll probably be a good family film to go see and kids will eat it up like it's the best thing ever. I mean, it better be the best damn hamster you've ever seen in a videogame, but it's possible.
Well, I thought that rock face/panel worked out nicely, I understood it was a WIP/test, and it was a good start. Sculpting, texturing, tiling, sort of related links: http://www.brameulaers.com/tutorials/generic_wall_tutorial/generic_wall_tutorial.html…
Proportions, mainly. http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/3690/kyragracie1ia1.jpg (If you want a fit character, don't reference models, or bodybuilders -- both are unnatural extremes, and the inviduals usual have weirdass anatomy on top of unusual fitness. I highly suggest using fighters as reference, especially considering…
I had the opportunity to participate in the videogame development of "Isle Towers" modeling many characters and modular creatures for the game, it has been a long journey but I am very happy with the results. Check the trailer down below & feel free to share it with your friends. https://vimeo.com/324768388…
