Thanks for the wayback link @willdebeast, that made it a lot easier to replace the images. The links were lost when dropbox nuked the public folder feature. Of interest to most who will read this thread, I wrote an extensive tutorial that covers this topic and many other common baking issues. It's geared towards baking in…
Nope, that's too late. Square Enix will hit you when you are 90% done, they have patience and they know the later they shut you down the less likely you are to resume work (since you've lost a LOT of work and will be discouraged) and the less likely it is that they even need to, most mods break apart a lot earlier. Look at…
He reminded me of George from Greys anatomy. :P The speech was very interesting though and it does give alot of food for thought. The points system in schools, I remember reading that somewhere and it sounded so awesome. There should be global points, If X country give X amount of aid to a developing country, then 100…
No idea, but Elika from Prince of Persia is the best example of an ambiguous personality that isn't endearing in any way. Can't imagine that it was anything but design by committee or the work of people with severely dysfunctional social lives. And while the list is true for many games and genres there are many exceptions,…
Hey thats interesting, The example was an object selected in isolate mode and then i just went into component mode to bridge the two edges. Now usually the mesh stays but in viewport 2 it doesn't. However if that works for you it's probably on my end, so I think i'll try nuke my preferences as I did carry it over from…
Pretty much what most will be doing I expect, along with other non-autodesk programs. This will be the final nail in the coffin for most XSI users. How can you trust a company like this? Sure migrate from Softimage to Max and then they'll probably nuke Max in a couple of years. You can see all the focus is going into Maya,…
FX for games are made using the game engine. Usually there are in-editor particle system creation tools. You cannot use nuke, or after effects. Some game engines let you export a particle system from a 3d editor but most have an in-editor system. unity: http://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/ParticleSystems.html unreal:…
Here is a pic of some of the assets I have managed to get into UDK. Except for the grass, I have modeled and textured everything. I hope to make efficient grass soon too. I am REAL mad that they nuked the foilage system before presenting it's replacement. As I said this is just a test scene to teach me some basic concept.…
Yep, he tries to make another one. Bam! Our general rule on bans is if a particular member merits a complaint in the moderator chat more than a couple times, then they're not worth keeping around. Tidal Blast came up a lot, with unfavorable ratings all around. He's also made duplicate accounts just for trolling. ArtSplash…
Reset xform will do the trick but it can be like using a nuke to kill a fly. It will reorient the objects local pivot to the world, which for animators can be a bit disastrous. Like Piflik said its a case of the scale transform data needing to be cleared out. You can do this by going to the Hirearchy tab > Reset > Scale…
