I thought I would join MrHobo and post what I've started. I'm thinking of doing the Magic/New age weaponry. I'm sort of thinking of having one magic arm with flames in his hand and the other arm will be holding some sort of plasma cannon.
So, here's my most recent project, it's a turret or cannon of some sort. It is not yet finished, I need to polish the ambient occlusion, specular, normal and diffuse maps. (pretty much everything) I would love some constructive criticism. Tricount: 2626 Maps: 2048

That comes from the highpoly actually being octagonal. I've ran into this issue on other projects (the koi cannon on my folio originally had an octagonal barrel that just ended up looking lowpoly) so I'll probably round it off since you won't be the only one that thinks that.
Long time no post (been busy) but after some fiddling around in Photoshop I'm almost done with this beast :) Gonna change the texture on the cannon a bit and add some decals, but other than that it's as good as done :) Now it's on to some environmental probs to fill up the scene a little bit.
The secondary guns above the main cannons should be thicker. The driver's viewport is only on the right side of the tank; you have one on both sides. The fence on the rear of the hull should be shorter and the top rail should be thicker. The ridge under the lower handhold on the hull isn't present in the concept.
Hmm, good point (I forgot much of the second movie, it was a bit slow and convoluted for my liking). Maybe it's still undead, but you never see it in its zombie form because there's never any moonlight in the 3rd movie? Maybe? I mean, they do fire it out of a cannon :|
Here's an update! Still need to finish the shoes, cannon, add some lines to the forearm (completely forgot until now) then put in a face. And I need to decide on whether I should keep this super clean like it is, or dirty it up a bit... Shouldn't be too much longer til this is finished!
awp | Shatterd threedimensional - Inspired by players buying awp without armor, the so called "glass cannon". All shattered pieces modeled by hand and then rendered from 3 different angles, that i also projected from. Then I painted and welded the different bakes together to get this result. Enjoy!
In anime they wouldn't think you're strange if you were 15 feet tall, had a robotic arm, three eyes and wielded a huge cannon. They'd only start to notice you once you start blowing holes into skyscrapers and even then they'd still consider you an ordinary criminal.
