i really really love each and every piece of this environment, but the lighting is still a huge letdown for me :( as others have already stated the contrast is something im having problems with. while i never been to a lava cave, i'd imagine, if lava would shine and sparkle like in your environment, the environment itself… -

The wall does look a lot better in the viewport, it must be your shader and lighting setup in UE3. You can try adding a multiply node with a constant vector to try to adjust the spec as well as using a constant 3 vector for the normals. You could also setup a couple directional lights at a steep angle to produce good… -

Thank you for your feedback. The preference options are basic due to it being a secondary focus of the paper with the primary focus being applied to the goal orientated questions. My local shop still sells them at about $60 (Canadian) (Geforce 6200 256mb) Maybe you can find one on kijiji or craigslist for cheaper? I used a spare ati pci card for awhile back in the days of 1 agp slot. Worked, but slow for everything other than more desktop real estate :P -
