I like the elements you chose for the board! The table looks a bit naked without the typical blue table cloth that sits behind the board. I'm SUPER curious how you did the smoke form the nuke! it looks really nice!
Holy crap he nuked the whole website!? Wtf thats unfair to the people who already started entries. For anyone whos interested or already started something for the challenge : http://polycount.com/discussion/171109/heroes-and-villains-thread-challenge#latest
This is my first showcase thread: Here I will post my WIP of the The Hobbit recreation project. I do most of the models myself (Others will be credited) Honest feedback are welcome! (And feel free to join the project) Tools: Mudbox, MayaLT, Sculptris, Photoshop, Substance Painter, UnrealEngine and NUKE.
Yeah, this isn't The Foundry's doing - their first steps appear to be more along the lines of making a Modo-Nuke link (although I imagine more will appear as time goes on). It's pretty cool, I should really check out Mari at some point...
yodude87, Yo dude, thanks :D Cap Hotkill i'll try to make his neck glowing from the inside, like its a nuke charge in there ToryM here you go :D http://www.gameartisans.org/contests/competitions/7/preview_finals_1_12054.html
Yeah, I've an interest in procedural modelling! In particular I'm charmed by all the procedural natural environments (terrain, trees, leaves, and so on). Where woul you suggest to start to study this field? Should I try even other programs like Nuke?
I am not going for post nuke here, I am just going with the city has been abandoned and then taken over by raiders later. Because New Vegas is just like fallout with some of the monuments of Vegas, And just a lot of garbage and brown.
I'd do this in Nuke, ( or natron ) because as you say photoshop clamp the viewport value. ( at least for me ) You just want to move your blackpoint until your mid value is set to 0.5, then you'll be able to use it as a 8 or 16bit map
