You can get the exact same type of gun really early on if you . It runs on MicroFusion cells that drop from anyone using laser weapons. I'm not sure the Alien weapon does? Thanks! Yeah, I just stick to keeping the unified tracks and copy partial poses around for follow through etc. and pay attention to the trajectories. A bit of a pain, but at least it works.
