I hope this ushers in a ton of mech orientated fanart on polycount, as most new big titles seem to spawn a brief "lets make stuff like that" fad. :) We've got the collectors edition in the office, the statue is friggin HUGE and awesome! :D
I'm currently working on my own fanart environment thing, so Its nice to see someone else working on one as well. You better show this to naughty dog when you are finished. haha :D keep it up dude!
I've been doing some painting attempts, trying to reach a balance between line and pure painting I love both. Also did some kylo ren fanart/study, really love the character.
Time for an older piece, I played a lot of WoW and I'm a big Blizzard fan. I should probably do some more since this is one of the few warcraft fanart paintings I have done.
Check this last page for the real-time eyes set up by Pav3D. Great insight how to approach making real-time eyes: http://polycount.com/discussion/181864/bloodborne-hunter-fanart-wip/p2
Here's a new 1 out of 2 hour piece I've just started. Decided to try and sculpt the head of one of dustsplat's character concepts "Lodor". Will have the final up tomorrow. :) Next speed sculpt will be a fanart female........any suggestions? :shifty:
Some more progress on it, still haven't started detailing anything yet, trying to get in the overall textures first : ] I have no idea if making your own little logo for fanart is cool or not haha but I guess I can always erase it..
@Mateus Thanks! I'll remember that trick for the fur, seems to work really well! Glad to hear you enjoy my WoW fanart. Haha yeas I've created an undead character as well, need to figure out some key locations and stuff.
Hey guys, kind of a tiny project here. Some friends were doing this Star Wars fanart challenge thing. 1000 polys, 512 texture. I chose to do an acklay. Block in I'll post sculpt pics in a bit, almost done the hipoly
Awesome, this reminds me of those hot toy action figures that look really real. Btw I am working on some starwars fanart as well it would help if you could give some critique http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=135918
