Painter is 149 for the Indie License while Pro is $590. Is there a difference? From what I can tell just the amount of money you are allowed to make as an indie-$100K. Same for Designer, $99 for Indie and $590 for Pro. Can anyone confirm the difference extends beyond these Stand Alone prices and the revenue you're allowed…
if its from google or something like flickr its probably ok, most of the time you edit in some way shape or form anyways. if its from someones photo blog or something like that ask them but 99% of the time you should be ok. especially if its just personal work, you might want to be more careful if its for contract/studio…
[ QUOTE ] Also you could try lying about your specs, since I'm 99% sure that the specs you listed there will run the Beta. [/ QUOTE ]lying about your specs will only work if you haven't entered your real specs before, if you did it will keep saying it's insufficient to play the game. this can be easily fixed by deleting…
It depends. I've seen (not used) some pretty nice procedural map generators. However I think you should always give some love in Photoshop. If machines could do everything then this board wouldn't exist :) EDIT: Here's something I read about in 3DWorld 99. http://www.mapzoneeditor.com/ It seemed pretty nice (nodes are…
Heh, I haven't touched UT since 99. It's the only copy I have and played. I think with all the "too clean" comments, I think all dfacto needs to do is just add a few paint chips and dirt smudges here and there on the gun. Maybe add some rust to the blades. Because otherwise I think the style of it is really cool. Are you…
DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONT I just saw a documentation the other day on TV saying that it is one of the rare medical treatments that didnt go through any real testing before put on the market. It was basically tested on people. 99 out of 100 go well but if you have big problems with your eyes its not the best thing to do.…
Im 99% certain you're buggered if you want to keep this pure painter - you're missing a link between the mesh makeup and the textures and no amount of clever maths can make up for that. You could bake the extra maps using the automation toolkit instead. I've written a couple of painter plugins that launch SAT scripts and…
I loved playing around with the Hammer editor back in Quake and so, and also did a ton of stuff using UnrealEd that came with Unreal Tournament 99. Also I guess the fact that I played a ton of construction games like SimCity, Roller Coaster Tycoon, etc.. got me even more into the whole creating stuff. So yeah.. been…
I very rarely have issues with broken geometry. Guess it depends how you model - I've been using modo from version 1 so I'm pretty used to it's ability to let you create geometry that other programs would consider "illegal". And 99% of the time that's my own stupid fault for welding two polygons to the same 4 verts...…
So far I'm digging the work, and I know it's 99% not done :P My only comment is that currently I don't see a focal point. I see a great background though! Characters would change that, or perhaps repositioning your compositions. For example, the 2nd image could easily have a well in the foreground. You could tell a story…
