@ellis_3d Love the blockout you've got so far! I don't know if the hills need to be pushed back too significantly, maybe more just increase their overall footprint, but I would recommend giving them gradual peeks and valleys as they look to be rolling hills in the concept. Though if you're thinking of going for more a more…
I don't have any translations. But I worked closely with a Chinese team a few years ago. We used three main techniques (english-fluent local managers, non-speaking video tutorials, and reverse translation) to communicate across three barriers (language, time zone, and culture). On-site English fluency among mgmt was the…
Thanks so much everyone for taking the time to write feed back! really helpful! -Definitely agree that the fur needs to be lighter, and the eyes are too dark. I had a real rough time balancing the stylized and realistic aspects of the concept. So definitely something i'll work on. - Spot on BagelHero, proportions are…
I spent about 2 hours trying to make that cloth tutorial. My recording software was fucking up. Esentially. Make a mesh, vertex paint it, black is the areas that do not move, white does, make sure it's in vertex color channel. Apply a Crytek shader in max, MAKE SURE PHYSICALIZE IS CHECKED. Then you need to rotate it to the…
Totally agree Neox. (+1 for Alex Kidd) Those games might not have the same oomph to them as games these days, but starting over on the first level was a different thing that it is now. Gotta grind the intro, tutorials, get the first upgrade so you can do THAT tutorial and then unlock some other core player skill after some…
Generally if you want to bake two highpoly meshes onto two lowpoly meshes that intersect, that work would fine. You would use bake groups or an exploded mesh workflow. The problem here is that you're trying to bake 3 highpoly objects onto two, and the 3rd highpoly mesh falls along the intersection point of the other two.…
Really like this so far! As everyone has said the scene has come a long way. I've been reading through the feedback as its been pretty useful for me to. I think the levels fix Ichll3D did made a huge difference, and a few different people have commented about colour and lighting so I definitely think learning your…
Wow guys! Thanks so much for the feedback. Harford: Dude! Your tutorials are awesome. I do a lot of 3d work as well, and they've come in a lot of handy. I would love to work with you if you'd like in the future! Muzz: Those are some great tips dude. I never really considered a lot of those things in such a technical…
End of the week update! I've been working on some pug animations for a friend of mine, still pretty rough, but getting there! I've also been creating a tutorial on how to do walk cycles, which you can see with the mery rig. She turned out looking a lot angrier than i thought haha! Might have to tone that down a bit. (I…
I have used this guide to make the tetures using the bentnormals maps and coclusion to add the detail since I am so bad at texturing, havent donde all the steps since it seem to give a metallic feel to the texture http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=123397498#19244 so right now the hair is just one plain…
