PNG is the way to go! Here's a good PS plugin for compression and cleanliness if the default one gives you trouble. http://www.fnordware.com/superpng/ ... Are there any mainstream browsers out there that still don't support true PNG opacity?
ps.... one of the main things about the intuos 4 is how nice the texture feels :D . Im loving mine. With the new nib type it feels very ... creamy... i dont know how else to discribe it.
You put some good use to that star brush in PS! Looks like something that'd be on card at hallmark...though I can't think of a day totally tributed to eating hotdogs, well maybe the forth of july.
I wound up having Vista (sp1) on my new machine. I'm not overly demanding, but max 2009, PS, xnormal, unreal ed and zb have been fine -- that's all I can speak to though.

Thanks guys , turned out our engine does full support of texture arrays too without any extra tricks ps, regarding recreating in Blender , Cycles does eliminate that seam at close distance but they still are in mips
