Looks like you havent assigned correct uv's if any. I dont use maya, but generally in 3d packages if you dont assign uv's to the mesh and just select the image to be applied to the object then it will project the image from one axis and repeat it all over the place. at least in opera you can hold ctrl and click on the image - a save dialogue will pop up. Alternativly you can assign "save to download folder" to a hotkey in opera and it will dump the image with a unique filename into the download folder. Dont know about firefox - propably out of the box not maybe search for a extention… -
